Who we are

Since 1969, starting the legacy as the emoryWILSON Co., now Heritage Water Systems, Inc. Same people, same high standards.

Heritage Water Systems, Inc. principals have over 80 years of combined experience designing and supplying high-quality equipment geared toward protecting our water resources, and we are entering our fourth generation in this business. We have been helping engineer solutions to water and wastewater handling challenges for both large cities and small towns across the Carolinas and Virginia.

Meet the team

  • A local business, not a large conglomerate — you deal with the same people on every job.
  • Application engineering, not order taking — we size and specify the equipment for your conditions.
  • Manufacturer relationships that get parts and pumps moving when a station is down.
  • Startup, troubleshooting and long-term support after the equipment ships.
What we solve

Applications we handle every week

From a single clogging lift station to a full headworks package — these are the problems municipalities bring us.

Wastewater pumping stations

Submersible, dry pit, chopper, grinder and self-priming packages sized for the solids you actually see.

Water tank mixing

Active mixing for storage tanks up to a million gallons — eliminate stratification and hold your residual.

Process mixing

Activated sludge, lagoon and basin mixing that cuts energy draw without sacrificing turnover.

Wet well grease control

Mixing and ozone systems that break up grease caps and knock down hydrogen sulfide at the source.

Inflow & infiltration

Cut rain inflow at the manhole while keeping the system vented and out of corrosive gas.

Headworks & screening

Bar screens, multi-rake and catenary systems that keep rags out of your downstream process.

Sludge pumping

Plunger and positive-displacement pumps built for thick solids and long, hard service life.

SCADA, alarms & monitoring

Cloud SCADA, autodialers and data logging — no servers or IT infrastructure to maintain.

Lines we represent

Fifteen manufacturers. One point of contact.

We represent proven equipment lines across pumping, mixing, screening, controls and monitoring.

Representation is territorial. What we carry in the Carolinas is not identical to what we carry in Virginia, so each territory gets its own line card. Grab the one that matches your project.

Stations that stopped clogging

Barnes SITHE chopper pump on site at Fayetteville
Fayetteville, North Carolina

A lift station that clogged twice a week — for years.

The City of Fayetteville had tried pumps from other suppliers and was still unclogging the station twice weekly. Heritage Water and Barnes Pump worked with them to install two Sithe chopper pumps.
